What is Testosterone Deficiency (TD)

Testosterone is a male health hormone critical in normal reproductive health. Testosterone levels in men are highest between the ages of 20 and 30 before dropping gradually at 1-2% average per year after that. Testosterone deficiency (TD) is when the body is not able to make enough testosterone for the body to function normally, and although it's not life-threatening it has the potential to affect your quality of life. It may be caused by a number of medical conditions such as illness, obesity, type two diabetes or injury, and can in turn lead to reduced sex drive, tiredness or sexual dysfunction amongst other things.
